Using Fiverr to Fulfill Craigslist Computer Gigs

Share

Fiverr and CraigslistThe idea of outsourcing work is not new.  In this article you will learn how to combine the gigs of Craigslist and the outsourcing potential of Fiverr.  Essentially, you act as the middleman by sub-contracting Fiverr workers to do the work for you.  You find the work and then hire others to do it. Here’s the basic process:

  1. Visit any Craigslist city site.
  2. Visit the “computer gigs” section of the site.
  3. Find work that requires simple tasks.
  4. Hire someone on Fiverr to complete the task for $5.
  5. Turn in Fiverr work product.
  6. Collect profit on the difference.

Finding the Right Craigslist Gig

Here are a few tips for finding gigs that work well when outsourcing to Fiverr:

Graphic Design Work.  You can hire a professional logo designer on Fiverr for $5.  Most people you meet will pay between $100-150 for a quality logo.  If you can find the jobs, you can make an excellent profit by outsourcing the graphic design work.

Web Design Work. Many people need simple jobs to fix or update their website.  Rather than do the work yourself, hire someone else to install a plugin, make a design change or even overhaul the site.

Repetitive Tasks. Many companies don’t have the resources in-house for data entry and other repetitive tasks.  So, they hire temporary workers to do these jobs.  If you can find a couple hours of repetitive low-level work, you may be able to charge $10 per hour and pay someone $5 to complete the work.

What is Fiverr?

Fiverr.com is a website where you can hire people from all over the world to do jobs for $5.  Many people live outside of the United States, which allows them to take advantage of the currency exchange and offer services far below typical U.S. labor costs. Some of the best areas for hiring Fiverr workers include:

  • graphic design work
  • voice-overs for commercials, radio, etc.
  • original artwork and photography
  • web design tasks
  • advertising/marketing activities

Not Passive Income

One of the main drawbacks with this type of income stream, is that it’s not passive and only generates income when you put in time.  Once you stop searching Craigslist for gigs, the income stops rolling in.  But, if you’re simply managing the jobs, it is possible to earn a full-time income doing this!

Conclusion

With millions of people posting their jobs on Craigslist every day, there is an endless stream of opportunities.  Remember, don’t get stuck on one Craigslist site.  Make a list of the largest cities and focus your efforts there.  Get creative with your job ideas. Most of all, have fun!
